About KUKA iiQWorks.Sim1.3 Advance Download
KUKA iiQWorks.Sim1.3 Advance Download is a 3D robot simulation and offline programming suite from KUKA. This release is used by robot integrators, planners and sales engineers to layout robot cells, validate reachability and cycle times, and generate KRL programs offline. On this page you get a complete, ready-to-run KUKA iiQWorks.Sim1.3 Advance package together with a step-by-step installation walkthrough.
Key Capabilities of KUKA iiQWorks.Sim1.3 Advance Download
- 3D cell layout with component libraries
- Reachability and collision checking
- Cycle-time analysis with OLP motions
- Offline generation of KRL programs
- Virtual robot controller for realistic timing
- Export of cell documentation
System Requirements
- Windows 10/11 64-bit (Professional recommended)
- 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB recommended
- 15–30 GB free disk space depending on installed options
- A mid-range graphics card is recommended for smooth 3D work
- 1920×1080 display or larger
Installation Notes
- Extract the downloaded archive with the password shown at the bottom of this page, using a recent version of WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Run the installer as administrator and keep the default path unless your company standard requires otherwise.
- If a controller or robot connection will be used, allow the software through the Windows firewall when prompted.
- Temporarily disable antivirus and Windows Defender real-time protection during setup — installers that copy licensed components are frequently false-flagged.
- After installation, re-enable antivirus protection and add the program folder to the allowed list if your policy requires it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it run in a virtual machine?
Simulation runs in a VM for demos, but real offline work benefits from GPU acceleration on a physical machine.
Do I need the virtual controller?
For layout studies the basic kinematics are enough; for meaningful cycle times use the virtual robot controller option.
Can I reuse CAD data?
STEP and JT data import directly; strip fine details from vendor models first or the simulation crawls.
Is a license dongle required?
Licensing is per workstation with dongle or software keys.

Tips from Real Projects
A bidding team won a palletizing contract on cycle time: the simulation with the virtual controller predicted 11.8 seconds against a competitor claim of 9; the competitor had simulated without payload dynamics. Trust only simulations that model the controller, the payload and the floors — all three, or none.
